Some losses are difficult to talk about.
When someone dies by suicide, grief can become complicated by questions that don't have easy answers.

Why?
What could I have done?
Did they know I loved them?
Could I have stopped it?
What am I supposed to feel?
Sometimes there is anger alongside love. Relief alongside guilt. Relief can itself create guilt. Sometimes there is a silence around the death because other people don't know what to say.
And sometimes the grief feels too complicated, too painful or too heavy for an ordinary grief group.

I offer a space for people living with these losses.
The same is true for those grieving a death related to substance use or overdose. These losses can carry their own layers of grief, stigma, anger, love and unanswered questions.
You don't have to make the loss easier to explain before you bring it into the room.
You can bring the complicated parts.
We can sit with what happened, what it changed, what you miss, what you wish had been different, and what you are carrying now.
